The main screen displays the charging status when using the mobile app. Below is a review of all displayed statuses and their meanings.

No car connected - plug in to start charging

This message is displayed when no vehicle is connected to the charger. If the message is displayed when a vehicle is actually connected, this can mean one of three things:

  1. The vehicle is connected to a different charger than the app shows. Please verify that the app is connected to your current charger.

  2. The connectors are not plugged in all the way. Please verify they are pushed all the way to the socket.

  3. Either the charger or the vehicle is faulted.

Waiting for energy

This message is displayed when delayed charging is defined for the site, and the charger is connected during peak hours.

When the message is displayed, you can either:

  1. Wait until off-peak hours, when the charge will automatically start

  2. Switch to 'Boost' charging, if available, to start immediately (typically at a higher cost).

Waiting for vehicle

This message is displayed when the charger is connected to the vehicle, but the vehicle is not accepting a charge. This can be due to one of the following reasons:

  1. The vehicle battery is full

  2. The vehicle is not ready to accept a charge because it is turned on, unlocked, or not in a parking state.

To resolve this issue, plug out the cable, consult the vehicle manual, and try to plug it in again. If the issue persists, don't hesitate to contact customer service.

Charging paused - Load balancing in progress

This message is displayed when the building energy is managed by the system. Due to the increased load, your vehicle has temporarily paused charging to enable others to charge.
Your vehicle will most likely start to charge shortly. If you can not wait, you can Switch to 'Boost' charging to start immediately (typically at a higher cost).

Boost charging active

Boost allows you to start charging immediately regardless of the energy management, electricity rates, or solar power availability. It also grants you priority over other drivers.

Boost charging may come at an extra cost, as defined by your operator.

Public charging

Charging completed - Please plug out.

This message is displayed when the vehicle reports its battery is full. Some chargers (mainly DC) require you to stop the charging session before you can remove the cable from the car. If that is the case, use the 'Stop charging' button.

The charger is faulted or under maintenance.

This message is displayed when the charger is faulted or is under maintenance. Please contact customer support to have this fixed.

Charging manually stopped

This message is displayed when charging is manually stopped by the driver or by a remote operator. It is safe to unplug the vehicle. If needed, press the button to start a new transaction.

Preparing to charge

This message is displayed temporarily when the charger is ready to start charging. It typically changes to the charging state within a few minutes. If the session hangs in this state, please plug out your EV and try again.

Secure charging

This message is displayed for private chargers (assigned to specific users) set for 'secure charging'.

To initiate the session, please use your RFID (if one has been assigned to you) or press the button to authorize the transaction.

Controlling the 'secure charging' setting can be done in the mobile app under the settings tab.

Waiting for solar energy

This message is displayed when 'excess PV charging' has been enabled for the site and not enough solar power has been generated to charge your vehicle.

If supported by your operator, you can override this limitation regarding the solar throughput by pressing the boost charging button, which will start charging immediately.
