What are Scheduled Idle Fees?

Idle fees are charges for leaving your car connected after charging ends. Some operators set these fees to apply only during certain hours.

If a schedule is set, idle fees apply only during those hours. Idle time outside those hours is free from idle fees.

How to View Idle Fee Schedules

The schedule is shown only if the charger’s rate includes Scheduled Idle Fees.

  1. Scan the charger’s QR code to begin your session.

  2. In the rate details, look for the info icon next to the idle fee.

  3. Tap the icon to see the specific hours when idle fees apply.

If the info icon is not present, the charger does not have scheduled idle fees — they either apply 24/7 or not at all.

Notifications About Idle Fees

With Scan to Charge, you will receive SMS messages:

  • When idle fees are active during your session.

  • Shortly before idle fees start, so you can unplug on time.

Example Scenario

Idle fees apply from midnight to 6:00 AM.

  • You finish charging at 11:00 PM and unplug at 1:00 AM.

  • You are charged only for idle time between midnight and 1:00 AM.

FAQs

  • Will I always get an SMS before idle fees start?
Yes, if your operator supports SMS notifications for idle fees.

  • What if I don’t see the info icon?
This means the charger does not have scheduled idle fees and charges may apply 24/7.
