How are charging time refunds displayed to Scan to Charge users?

When using Scan to Charge, drivers may receive a refund based on the duration of the charging session. This refund is calculated at a set rate per 15 minutes of active charging and is automatically applied to reduce the session cost.

Refunds are capped at the cost of the transaction. No payment is issued to the driver’s credit card, even if the refund exceeds the session total.

What appears on the receipt?

  • A separate line item labeled “Parking Refund” is included on the receipt.

  • If the refund fully offsets the cost of the session, no invoice will be issued.

  • In cases where the refund is partial, the receipt reflects the adjusted session cost after the refund is applied.

This provides full cost transparency for Scan to Charge users and ensures compliance with applicable parking refund policies.
