What is the Fixed per Period rate?

This rate type allows billing based on how long a vehicle is actively charging, regardless of how much energy is used. It’s ideal for:

  • Locations that double as time-limited parking spots

  • Enforcement of charger occupancy in shared environments

Key benefits

  • Simple pricing for time-sensitive setups: Set fixed fees per 15, 30, or 60 minutes.

  • Compatible with idle fees: Applies only during active charging.

  • Integrated into billing tools: “Charging cost” now appears in driver and account statements. Receipts include duration-based line items.

How to configure a Fixed per Period rate

  1. Go to Operator SettingsRate PlansAdd Rate Plan.

  2. Choose Fixed per period under Rate type.

  3. Select an interval: 15, 30, or 60 minutes.

  4. Set the cost per interval (e.g., $5/hr).

  5. (Optional) Add a Parking refund per interval to offset the cost.

Notes

  • The old Fixed rate is now called Fixed per kWh.

  • The Charging time refund field has been renamed Parking refund per interval, available only for Fixed per period rates.

  • Billing output reflects “Charging cost” instead of “Energy cost”.

FAQ

  • Can I combine Fixed per period with energy-based pricing?
No. This rate type is used independently but can be combined with idle fees.

  • Where will the new rate appear for users?
In the pricing card in-app, and in all billing documents and receipts.
