How are parking refunds shown to drivers?

When a driver receives a charging time refund, it’s clearly reflected across all touchpoints to maintain transparency and avoid confusion. These refunds are calculated based on the charging session duration, but are always capped at the total cost of the transaction. Refunds cannot exceed the session total, and no funds are issued back to the driver’s credit card.

Driver App & Scan to Charge (S2C):

  • The Charging Time Refund appears in the pricing breakdown before a session starts.

  • If the refund equals or exceeds the charging cost, the transaction is shown as $0 in the app’s Transaction History.

  • Confirmation messages and notifications are updated to reflect when no invoice is issued due to a full refund.

Invoices & Receipts:

  • Refunds appear as a line item labeled “Parking Refund”.

  • If the refund fully covers the session, no invoice will be issued.

Driver Statements:

Refunds are subtracted from both the Total Charging Fees and individual transaction rows.

This helps drivers understand how their costs are calculated when parking refunds apply, while also setting expectations about how the refund is applied.
