Group discounts allow operators to provide different discounts to user groups for specific rate plans.
What are User Groups?
User groups help organize users more efficiently. Operators can create multiple user groups and associate each user with a group in the "Users" tab. This organization method allows for better management and customization of user experiences.
Group Discounts Explained
The group discounts feature enables operators to offer different discounts to each group per rate. This flexibility allows for tailored pricing strategies based on user categories.
Important Notes:
Only the operator admin can create users and rate plans.
Group discounts are applied to members only, not to the Scan to Charge feature or roaming rates.
Discounts are applied only to the cost per kWh.
The app displays all pricing after the discount has been applied.
If a user is entitled to multiple discounts, the maximum discount is applied.
How to set up group discounts
To get started, please follow the next steps:
Navigate to Settings, select “User groups,” and add new groups. A financial owner can be assigned to the group. To learn more, please visit this article.
Now select the “Rate plan” option in the side menu. When creating or editing a rate plan, choose which groups you want to provide discounts to and enter the percentage. Please note that the group discounts can be applied only to the following rate types: Fixed, Cost plus, and Cost plus %.
Finally, head over to the “Users” tab. When creating or editing a user, select which group you want this user to be associated with.
