Understand Account-Level Groups
Account-level user groups let operators delegate access control and billing responsibility to account admins. This setup is commonly used by fleet and commercial sites to assign charging permissions or financial responsibility to specific user sets.
Previously, only operators could manage user groups. With account-level groups, account admins can manage their own groups — no operator involvement needed.
Operator Role: Create Account-Specific Groups
To create an account-level group:
Go to Operator Settings → User Groups.
Click + Add Group.
Set a Group Scope:
All Accounts – group is visible in system-wide settings only.
Specific Account – limits the group to one account. This enables account admins to assign users and chargers to the group.
Enable Auto assign new account members to this group* if you want all new users in this account to be added automatically.
Assign a Financial Owner (optional) to manage payments for the group’s members.
* When auto-assign is turned on, new users are automatically added to the group when they are:
Invited manually
Self-registered via domain
Onboarded through an account invitation link
You can disable this setting at any time. Existing group members won’t be affected.
Account Admin Role: Manage Group Membership
Account admins can:
View and assign users to account-level groups.
Assign groups to chargers via the Charger Scope settings.
Apply group-based rate discounts (if configured by the operator).
They cannot modify operator-created global groups — these appear as read-only.
Common Use Cases
Fleet Management: Assign specific drivers to different vehicle pools with unique access and pricing rules.
Company Admins: Assign employees to groups to centralize payment under one billing contact.
