How to add a new site location
You can easily add a new location for your charges.
Please note that to add a site, you must have an "Administrator" permission level.
What’s included in the new site settings layout?
The site settings panel is now divided into three clear sections:
General Settings
Add site name, address, time zone, optional internal notes (via the new Site comment field), and activation status.Charging Rate
Assign the default rate plan for drivers charging at this site.Energy Management
Configure local energy optimization settings such as dynamic power limits or PV integration.
You must complete the required fields in one section before continuing to the next. This wizard-style flow helps reduce setup errors and improves clarity, especially for new operators.
Steps to Create a Site Location (Building)
Click on the "Energy" tab and the Plus sign ("+") to the far right of the screen.
The "Add site" wizard will appear.
Complete the required fields in each section of the site setup wizard. Click "Next" to move forward to the next step in the setup.
Click the "Add" button once all sections are completed.
Required information to create a site
The following fields must be filled before a site can be created:

The wizard will guide you through each section. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. Incomplete sections must be filled before the Apply button becomes active.
Required Information to Add a Site
The settings are grouped into three collapsible sections:
General Settings
Used to define the basic identity and metadata of the site:
Name*: Site display name.
Address*: Type and search the physical location.
Site Type: Choose from options like Workplace, Residential, etc.
Description: Shown to drivers in the app to help locate the site (e.g., “P1, Space 12 – First floor”).
Utility: (U.S. only) Select the utility provider serving the site.
Electricity Tariff*: Choose from predefined or custom tariffs.
External ID: (Optional) Add an identifier linked to external systems.
Comment: Free-text field for internal notes (e.g., contact info or special site instructions).
Charging Rate
Define the rate plans assigned to drivers:
Member rate*: Rate plan for registered users.
QR/Terminal charging: Assign rate for sessions started via Scan to Charge or integrated payment terminals.
Roaming (OCPI) charging: Rate for users charging through roaming providers.
Note: Scan to Charge sessions start immediately, even if delayed charging is enabled in Energy Management.
Energy Management
Configure load and energy optimization rules:
Energy (load) management: Ensure chargers never exceed site capacity.
Offline allocation*: A required fallback charging current (in amps) when the panel is offline.
Delayed charging: Schedule charging to start during off-peak hours.
Off-peak schedule: Choose or customize your time-of-use plan.
PV charging - Customize how solar energy is prioritized, and choose fallback behavior for selected users when solar is unavailable (Visible only when a solar meter is configured in Panel Settings).
Charging session limit: Optional cap on session duration.
Following these steps, you can efficiently add and configure a new site location to ensure optimal charging management and cost savings.
