How to Use the Financial Owner for Group Billing?
Financial Owner for Group Billing allows a single payer to be assigned to a group, taking responsibility for all group members' payments. This feature is useful for scenarios such as fleets, workplaces, and households, where one user can make payments for the entire group with a single consolidated statement and receipt.
How to Add a Financial Owner to a Group
To create a financial group:
Open the operator settings and navigate to the Groups menu.
Choose "+Add" or edit an existing group.
Provide a group name and select the Financial Owner from the dropdown menu.
Add members from the User tab. Once added, they will appear in the "Members" section of the group.
Viewing Financial Groups in the Users Tab
The Users tab includes a "Financial Group" column, which displays the group a user belongs to, if any. Financial Owners are marked with a credit card icon for easy identification.
Understanding Billing and Group Statements
Billing Cycles
Financial group members are billed according to the financial owner's billing cycle. This ensures consistency and simplifies the payment process for the group.
Individual User Statements
Individual users will see a note indicating that the group is responsible for paying their charges. This provides clarity on payment responsibilities within the group.
Financial Owner Statements
The financial owner receives two types of statements:
A consolidated group statement summarizing all charges for the group.
A personal statement, if applicable, for any charges not covered by the group.
Driver App Updates for Financial Group Members
Users who are part of a financial group experience simplified payment management in the Driver App:
Under Settings > Payments, drivers see an indication that a group covers their payments.
Financial group members no longer need to add their own payment methods in the app.
