Understanding Site Classifications

Site classification helps organize and analyze charging infrastructure based on property types. This categorization provides valuable insights into deployment patterns and usage analytics across different locations.

Available Site Categories

The following categories help distinguish between different types of charging locations:

  • Apartment buildings: Charging stations installed in residential apartment complexes, primarily serving building residents and their visitors

  • Private homes: Charging installations at single-family residences, typically for personal use

  • Workplaces: Charging infrastructure located at business premises, office buildings, or corporate facilities for employee and visitor use

  • Public Spaces: Charging stations at high-traffic commercial locations, including:

    • Gas stations

    • Shopping centers

    • Hotels

    • Supermarkets

  • Destination Locations: Charging points at places where drivers spend extended time for primary activities beyond charging, such as:

    • Parks and recreation areas

    • Entertainment venues

    • Restaurants

    • Tourist attractions

Setting Up Site Classifications

To classify a site:
