Offline allocation ensures efficient and safe energy management when chargers lose communication with the back office. This article explains how to view and manage offline power allocation settings.

What is Offline Allocation?

Offline allocation is the power limit set for chargers when they lose communication with the back office. This feature:

  • Ensures safe energy management during communication outages

  • Limits chargers to a predetermined power allocation

  • Applies to all chargers at a site by default

Viewing Offline Allocation

To view the offline allocation for a site:

  1. Navigate to the Energy tab

  2. Click on the three-dot menu at the site level

  3. Select the "Edit site" option

Note: Offline allocation is only available when "Energy management" is enabled on the site.

Overriding Offline Allocation at the Charger Level

While offline allocation is set at the site level by default, it's possible to override these settings for specific chargers:

  • Wevo's support team can help operators set charger-specific offline allocations

  • Overrides are visible in the charger settings

  • An overrides column in the chargers tab displays custom allocations

This feature allows for:

  • Greater flexibility in energy management

  • Prioritization of specific chargers during communication outages

  • Improved visibility of custom allocations at the charger level

To set up charger-specific offline allocations, contact Wevo's support team for assistance.
