Understanding Preconfigured QR Codes for Chargers

Preconfiguring QR code stickers for chargers eliminates the need for installers to manually assign stickers during installation. This process increases the overall efficiency of the installation process, making it faster and more convenient for installers.

QR Code Format

The charger QR code format follows a specific structure:

  • Each operator is assigned a 3-letter code (e.g., WVO for Wevo, CHU for ChargeUp).

  • Operators can generate up to 1 million unique QR code stickers (e.g., WVO-000000 to WVO-999999).

  • These codes are assigned to chargers during installation.

Steps to Preconfigure Charger QR Codes

To preconfigure a charger QR code, follow these steps:

  1. Select the desired account from the navigation bar.

  2. Navigate to the Chargers tab.

  3. Add a new charger or edit an existing one:

    • To add: Click the "Plus" button on the far right.

    • To edit: Click the charger's 3-dot menu and select "Edit".

  4. Select one of the shared charger scopes (Shared with account / shared with groups / Public) and click Apply.

  5. Locate the "QR alias" field that appears and click "Enter".

  6. Input a unique 6-digit code that will serve as the charger's QR code.
