A QR code sticker can be preconfigured and assigned in advance to a charger in the “QR alias” field when adding or editing a charger under the Charger tab.

Why should a QR code sticker be preconfigured for a charger?

A preconfigured QR code sticker for a charger eliminates the need for installers to manually assign the correct sticker to the charger. This increases the overall efficiency of the installation process, making it faster and more convenient for our installers.

What is the format of the charger QR code?

The format of the charger QR code is as follows:

Each operator is assigned a 3-letter code (for example, WVO for Wevo, CHU for ChargeUp, etc).

The operator can generate up to 1 million unique QR code stickers (WVO-000000 to WVO-999999) and assign them to chargers during installation.

How to preconfigure the charger QR code?

To preconfigure the charger QR code follow those steps:

  1. Select the account you wish to preconfigure the charger QR code from the navigation bar.

  2. Go to the Chargers tab

  3. Add/Edit the charger:

    1. Add a charger by clicking on the "Plus" button on the far right

    2. Edit the desired charger by clicking on the charger's 3-dot menu and then selecting "Edit".

  4. Select one of the shared charger scopes (Shared with account / shared with groups / Public) and click Apply.

  5. The "QR alias" field will appear. Click on "Enter" to add the QR alias code.

    Enter a unique 6-digit that will be used as the charger's QR code and click on the "Submit" button

  6. Click on the "Update" button in the "Edit charger" to apply the changers.
