What is schedule-based EV limit control?
Operators can configure scheduled EV charging limits on main panels to automatically adjust the maximum charging load throughout the day. Instead of setting one fixed amp value, you can define different limits for peak and off-peak hours. This helps you:
Align charging demand with grid conditions or building priorities.
Reserve electrical capacity for other building loads during certain hours.
Participate in demand management programs and unlock utility incentives.
All limits are automatically enforced without requiring manual changes.
Who can access this feature?
Admin users only can configure scheduled EV limits.
Configurations are visible in the Energy tab and on the Dashboard.
How to set a scheduled EV limit
Go to the Energy tab in the back office.
Select a main panel (note: child panels only support fixed limits).
Under EV Limit, choose one of the following options:
Click Apply to save.
Why use scheduled EV limits?
Flexibility: Adapt to fluctuating grid and energy pricing.
Automation: Reduce manual adjustments.
Efficiency: Allocate energy precisely without sacrificing throughput.
Savings: Take advantage of off-peak rates and utility incentives.
FAQs
Can I apply scheduled limits to child panels?
No. Scheduled EV limits are supported only on main panels.
What happens if I don’t configure a schedule?
If no schedule is set, the panel continues using the fixed amp value you define.
Can I create my own custom schedules?
Schedules must be created in advance. If you need a new one, contact support.
Will drivers see these limits in the app?
No. Drivers are not notified directly. The system enforces these limits in the background.
