Resetting Your Charger Password: When Is It Necessary?
Occasionally, when troubleshooting charger issues, it may be necessary to reset the charger to its factory settings or reset the authentication credentials (user name and password). This can result in the charger being rejected when attempting to authenticate with the back office.
You can easily reset the password directly from the charger menu and begin the initial authentication process.
Reset the Secure Charger Password
To reset the secure charger password:
Go to the Chargers tab.
Locate the charger that was rejected during authentication.
Click on the three-dot menu next to the charger.
Select Reset Security to reset the password and begin the initial authentication process.
This process will restore the charger to its factory settings and allow it to reconnect smoothly to the back office system.
