Customize solar energy utilization and prioritize selected users for direct grid energy charging when solar power is unavailable.

How to customize solar energy utilization

  1. Integrate the SolarEdge meter to the site's panel under the Energy tab. More information about meters and load balancing can be found here.

  2. Once the SolarEdge meter is integrated into the site’s panel, the “PV charging” field will be displayed in the“Site” settings:

  3. Select one of the following options:

    1. “Off” - Default mode. Allows everyone to charge regardless of solar production.

    2. “Priority mode” - Allows priority drivers to auto-boost. Other drivers wait for excess PV power.
Available exception: Non-priority drivers can manually boost.

    3. “Strict mode” - All drivers must wait for excess PV power to be available.
      Available exceptions:

      1. Priority drivers can manually boost.

      2. Non-priority drivers can manually boost.

How to set up priority user

To set the priority user, simply follow the following instructions:

  1. Go to the “User” tab

  2. Select the user you wish to prioritize by clicking on the three-dot menu per user, and select “Prioritize”.

  3. If you wish to remove the user priority, click on the menu three-dot menu and select “Unprioritize”.

All priority users can be displayed by activating the “Priority” column.

PV Meter Offline Handling

To prevent a complete halt of EV charging, the system defaults to “off” mode when the PV meter goes offline. This means vehicles will be charged without solar constraints.
