Two-step authentication adds an optional second sign-in step to your account. With it on, a 6-digit verification code is emailed to you after your password is accepted, and the sign-in completes only once you enter the code.

Two-step authentication is off by default. You can turn it on for your account whenever you choose.

  • Turning it on: A verification code is emailed to your account's address. Enter it once to confirm.

  • Signing in: Each code is valid for 10 minutes. You can request a new code from the code screen.

  • Turning it off: Requires your current password, and a notification is emailed to your account.

Change your password

You can change your password in the same settings. Changing your password signs your account out on every device, so the new password is required everywhere.

Security email alerts

Your account's email address receives a notification when your password is changed or two-step authentication is turned off.

Where to find it

Mobile app → Settings → User → Security → Two-step authentication
